The 5% Premium Medical Billing Service allows a practice to integrate a third-party EMR application into the billing process. By utilizing an EMR application along with MTBC’s premium medical billing service, a practice can finally unify clinical and billing functionality under one platform. By working with the third-party EMR vendor, MTBC’s IT executives will allow your practice to submit claims directly from the EMR application.

• EMR integration: Whether you are currently using an EMR or being to use MTBC’s CCHIT certified EMR, you will be able to use your EMR to export billing directly to MTBC without having to scan or send your superbills. The bridge that MTBC will build will enable your office to export patient demographics, CPT and ICD codes, patient payments, procedure code units and modifiers electronically, directly from your EMR on a daily basis.
• Real-time claims adjudication: MTBC is at the cutting-edge of healthcare and technology. MTBC clients receive fully adjudicated claims in seconds through the partnership of UnitedHealthcare and MTBC. With RTA, clients of MTBC will see within seconds how UnitedHealthcare will pay a claim for its policyholders. More insurance companies are beginning to offer the benefits of RTA so that you can see—in real-time—what the insurance company will pay for a specific claim. RTA allows the patient to pay for the full service before leaving the doctor’s office.
• MTBC’s Clinician: Use MTBC’s integrated E-prescribing and lab connectivity software to send prescriptions directly to a patient’s pharmacy and lab requisitions directly to LabCorp^® or Quest^®. Check for drug interactions, access all prescription information including medical histories and drug formularies, and eliminate the need for script pads in your office.

Medical credentialing is an essential aspect of every practice, but it takes significant amounts of time, paperwork and follow-up that can be daunting to a physician who is setting up a new office and hiring staff while continuing to care for patients.

MTBC will use your basic practice information to complete and submit your applications to up to 10 insurance companies that you choose. On these applications we will include information for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) so that participating insurers will pay you electronically, directly into your bank account.
It’s vital to submit complete and accurate insurance credentialing to ensure timely and proper reimbursements. We will follow up with insurers and keep you informed of your timeline.
