Technical Requirements
MTBC EMR 4.0 does not require any expensive or inordinately sophisticated hardware. Our EMR resides on your network in a client-server relationship in which one PC or server act as the hub. Other PCs, laptops or tablets communicate with the hub.
- For one or two users, you need only one PC with a reasonably fast processor (Intel P4 2.6 GHz or Intel Dual Core 1.6 GHz or equivalent) to act as the server.
- For more than 3 users, we recommend that you use a small server (Intel Quad Core 2.0 GHz or equivalent). Your practice will be responsible for backing up the data on a daily basis to an external hard drive or to the web.
- For more than 25 users, MTBC will customize a solution.
- MTBC EMR 4.0 is easily accessible from home or other locations via remote desktop or virtual private network (VPN).
- Like most EMR/EHR products, MTBC EMR 4.0 requires the use of a scanner with a Twain driver.
